Volunteer Policies

  • Individuals must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer unless accompanied by an adult guardian
  • All volunteer candidates are subject to a background check
  • The Children’s Museum of Denver does not accept Court-Ordered Community Service Volunteers
  • We gladly accept school appointed community service and ISP hours

Volunteer Opportunities

 

Family Events
Volunteers are needed throughout the year to bring that extra special spark to our family events!  Events include Bunny Trail, Trick or Treat Street, Noon Year’s Eve, and so many more.  We invite you to spend a day with us and join in the fun!

Super Sand Dome Attendant
June 12th - September 12th
We are currently recruiting fun loving volunteers to interact with children and families through super sand play on the plaza.

Hop, Skip & a Jump Start
Sunday, September 19th
Help out with the 5K, Infant Crawl, Toddler Trot and Kid Course!

On Call Volunteers
Have time to spare but don’t want to make a weekly commitment? Become an on call volunteer and help us with events, special projects, outreaches, and a multitude of projects as needed. This is a perfect position if you want to help the Museum on a regular basis while still remaining flexible.
