Party like a kid again…or have your next grown-up meeting at the Children’s Museum.

Make your next event extraordinary! Whether you're wanting a sophisticated meeting or the party of a lifetime with a velcro-wall (and kegs of beer!), the Children's Museum of Denver is an amazing venue for all types of events. With unique exhibits, a theater, a grand plaza with beautiful views of the city and a crazy creative staff, we can make sure no one forgets your event!

  • All facility rentals include: free parking, event staff, including a porter, and use of available tables and chairs. After-hours rentals include security. See below for all the different rental spaces, prices, capacity and hours.

    Catering and equipment needs? The Children's Museum works with an excellent group of vendors who can assist with all of your catering and equipment needs. Only vendors from our approved list may be used for your event, unless advance approval is given by the Museum.

    Looking for some stellar team-building ideas? Colorado Teambuilding Events has several packages designed especially for the Children's Museum of Denver's spaces and exhibits. Or you can create your own custom package!

The Whole Museum

The Museum includes more than 13,000 square feet of interactive exhibits and adaptable rooms. Our largest room can accommodate sit-down meals for 80-90 people. We can also place tables throughout the Museum or outside on the Plaza for a beautiful setting for up to 500 people.

Spaces: Full use of the Museum including all rooms below, all exhibits and public areas
Price: $1,600 and up


All exhibits are open during rental of the whole Museum. Please note there is a charge of $100 to have paints in The Art Studio, otherwise crayons and markers will be available at no charge.

Program Playhouse (Theater)

The Theater is the Museum's largest room with retractable bleachers great for performances or presentations. The room is also great for dining or a dance floor.

Children’s Museum of Denver Facility Rental Policies and Guidelines

Additional things to note:

  • Unless special arrangements are made, events must begin one hour after closing andend by 10 p.m. In most cases, setup can start prior to close, but cleanup should be done by 11 p.m.
  • *Rental fees for individual rooms and the Plaza do not include exhibit admission. If you wish to play in the Museum along with your room rental, additional charges will apply. Additionally, all adults who wish to have exhibit access during the Museum's open hours, must be accompanied by children. Adult-only parties or meetings will not be allowed exhibit access unless they are after hours.
  • Other charges may apply depending on guest numbers, hours, exhibit admission, required amenities or security.
  • The Children's Museum's largest room can accommodate sit-down meals of 80-90 people. We can also place tables throughout the Museum, or on the Plaza, for fun and unique seating for up to 500. Please discuss the options with Museum staff.
