Crew members; get your hard hats, blueprints and safety vests! “Paint” walls, discover the pathways of plumbing with airplay and explore the basics of electricity.

Educational Concepts and Skill Development
This Playscape is carefully designed to support the development of these important early learning principles:

  • Social/Emotional: Interactive play, sharing, taking turns with peers
  • Large Motor Skills: Moving blocks, painting, climbing on tires, pushing wheelbarrows
  • Fine Motor Skills: Hand-eye coordination with electrical circuits, connecting pipes
  • Creative Thinking: Imaginative/pretend play
  • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Role play as a construction worker, creating electrical currents
  • Visual Spatial Skills: Interpreting blueprints and building structures
  • Language/Literacy: Reading Labels and blueprints
  • Arts: Dramatic role-play
  • Community Awareness: Role of a construction worker, electrician and plumber in the community
  • Safety: Construction site safety

Where is it?

Play & Learn Together

  • Work together in each area of the jobsite
  • Talk about how things are working ("Why does painting with water change the color of the wall?")
  • Challenge your kids to put only blue bricks up the conveyor belt
  • Try to determine from which plumbing pipe your "puff-ball" will come
