A Museum program at your place or at Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus is a very smart choice!

Our programs and exhibits support Colorado Academic Standards and Colorado’s 21st Century Skills of self-direction, critical thinking, invention, collaboration and information literacy. Even better, your children will experience a playful way of learning!

  • Bubble Lab

    At the Museum only.

    Young scientists will learn about bubbles and their amazing properties. Then, using bubble-making ingredients and measuring instruments they will work in teams to develop and test their very own formula for bubble solution!
    Note: Bubble Lab does not take place in the Bubbles exhibit.

    Group Size: 15-30
    Length: 45 minutes
    Grades: 1st and 2nd
    Cost: $9 per student

  • Build It Up

    At the Museum only.

    Grab a tool box and enter the construction zone! Children work together using real tools, large-scale building materials and blueprints to build their own miniature houses.

    Grab your magnifying glasses and join us for a scientific investigation! We will read, sing and dance our way through the life cycles of living things to discover how plants and animals survive and thrive!

  • Earth Balloon

    At your place.

    Calling all young explorers! Take a one-of-a-kind look at the Earth from inside our 26-foot tall Earth Balloon. Students will gain an understanding of regions, continents, countries, rivers, mountains and oceans in this interactive trip around the globe.

    Group Size: 15-30
    Length: 45 minutes
    Grades: K to 3rd
    Cost: $175 for a session, additional sessions $100

    Program Requirements

    • Indoor space with minimum 26-foot high ceiling, 25 square feet of floor space and access to an electrical outlet.
    • Multiple sessions require a 15-minute reset between each session.
    • Two sessions are required for groups larger than 30 children.

  • The Gingerbread Man

    At your place or ours. Great for large groups!

    This assembly-style performance is interactive theater as its best! Your students will bring nursery rhymes and fairytales to life as they act out the adventures of this mischievous little cookie.

    Grades: Pre-K to 1st

    The Earth needs a superhero and there’s only one person for the job…YOU! Learn how easy and fun it can be to save the environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling through song, dance and interactive games.

    Grades: K to 3rd

    Investigate force and motion by working in teams to complete hands-on design challenges and building ramps and pathways.

    Program Requirements

    • This program is ideally held in a gym or cafeteria space but a cleared out classroom will also work.
    • We ask that 2-3 volunteers be present during this program.
    • Multiple sessions require a 15-minute reset between each session.
    • Two sessions are required for groups larger than 30 children.

    Looking to expand upon big ideas for young engineers? The optional three-part program will further encourage students’ curiosity and critical thinking. (These programs are offered at a discounted rate for each additional day.)

  • Math Mysteries

    At your place or ours.

    Solving crime by solving math problems! In this interactive program, students will become secret agents and use their math skills to save the world. We make learning math anything but boring!

    This interactive tooth adventure takes students through discovery stations to explore dental health. Learn how to protect your teeth from sugar bugs, cavities and germs!

  • Outdoor Adventure

    At the Museum only.

    This active, imaginative program takes place entirely in Joy Park, our outdoor exhibit. Students will run, jump and fly their way through physical challenges as they create their own adventure.

    Cost: $9 per student

    Program Requirements

    • Outdoor Adventure is offered seasonally and takes place entirely outside. In the event of inclement weather, all efforts will be made to reschedule your visit. Please contact the School Programs Reservation Specialist for more details.

    Climb inside our portable planetarium and explore the night sky! Students will learn to identify and locate constellations and enjoy star-inspired myths and legends from diverse world cultures.

    Stuffee is a one-of-a-kind ambassador for health. Learn all about your body and how it functions inside and out, all while getting tips for staying healthy!

    Take a journey around the world as we learn about drums and dancing from diverse cultures. Students will try their hands at different drums in this interactive musical adventure combining geography, arts and culture.
